Laser cutting machine cutting principle, cutting process introduction

Cutting principle
The basic principle of laser cutting is: the laser is gathered on the material, the material is heated locally until it exceeds the melting point, and then the molten metal is blown away with coaxial high-pressure gas or metal vapor pressure generated, and the light beam moves relatively linearly with the material, so that the hole continuously forms a very narrow width slit.

Servo system
In the large format laser cutting machine, the processing height of different places is slightly different, resulting in the surface of the material deviating from the focal length, so that the size of the concentrated spot in different places is not the same, the power density is not the same, the laser cutting quality of different cutting positions is inconsistent, and the quality requirements of laser cutting are not met.
The cutting head adopts a servo system to ensure that the cutting head is highly consistent with the cutting material, thus ensuring the cutting effect.

Auxiliary gas
An auxiliary gas suitable for the material to be cut must be added during the cutting process. In addition to blowing away the slag in the slit, the coaxial gas can also cool the surface of the processed object, reduce the heat-affected zone, cool the focusing lens, and prevent smoke from entering the lens seat to pollute the lens and cause the lens to overheat. The choice of gas pressure and type has great influence on cutting. Common gases are: air, oxygen, nitrogen.

Cutting technology
Cutting process is related to the following factors:
Laser mode, laser power, focus position, nozzle height, nozzle diameter, auxiliary gas, auxiliary gas purity, auxiliary gas flow, auxiliary gas pressure, cutting speed, plate speed, plate surface quality.
